Working together to encourage safer travel in our city for all

The Road Safety Plan for Edinburgh was launched in May 2010 as a focus for all road safety activity in the city.  The City of Edinburgh Council is working in partnership with Lothian & Borders Police, NHS Lothian and Lothian & Borders Fire & Rescue Service to encourage safer travel in our city for everyone.

At the core of the Road Safety Plan is the vision that the Council and its partners will work towards Vision Zero and the provision of a modern road network where all users are safe from the risk of being killed or seriously injured.

Copies of the full Road Safety Plan can be viewed online.

In addition this website will be updated with all the up to the minute information on road safety in Edinburgh for every road user.

Road Safety partners information, including brand guidelines. Please note a password is required to access this area of the site. Members can obtain this from Streets Ahead on Communities of Practice.
