Working together to encourage safer travel in our city for all

The Road Safety Plan for Edinburgh was launched in May 2010 as a focus for all road safety activity in the city.  The City of Edinburgh Council is working in partnership with the following agencies to encourage safer travel in our city for everyone.

Police Scotland

NHS Lothian

Scottish Fire & Rescue Service

Transport Scotland

Lothian and Borders Safety Camera Partnership

Copies of the full Road Safety Plan can be viewed online and a full list of all the agencies involved in the consultation process leading up to it's publication can be found on Pages 14 and 15.

At the core of the Road Safety Plan is the vision that the Council and its partners will work towards Vision Zero and the provision of a modern road network where all users are safe from the risk of being killed or seriously injured.

In addition this website will be updated with all the up to the minute information on road safety in Edinburgh for every road user.
