Information on each school taking part

school streets

The first phase of schools begin the School Streets project begins on Tuesday 22nd September.  These are

  • Clermiston
  • St Peters
  • Towerbank

Schools have been promoting active travel as they have all been using the Living Streets WOW resources.

Pupils record how they get to school each day using the interactive 'travel tracker' on their smartboards.  Pupils must travel actively to school on a set number of days to earn a strider badge.  These change each month and are extremely collectable.

Each of the schools has a  leaflet giving the times of operation of the closure and these are also available on the main council website

Residents - apply for your School Streets Permit

School Streets begins at a further three schools in March 2016. This is a pilot scheme to limit traffic around the gates of primary schools to increase road safety and walking to school.
