20 Campaign Mascot competition - Winners announced

Teo's 20 mascot 'The Reducer'

The Reducer

Earlier this year our colleagues in the '20' campaign asked all JRSO's in Edinburgh to help design a mascot to lead the 20 publicity campaign.  We had an overwhelming response with 360 entries from 51 schools.  The standard has been very high and it has been a very difficult job indeed to select a winner.

Our judging panel have now reached a decision......and the overall winner is......

Teo Edwin Gonzalez from Tollcross Primary. His super hero mascot ‘The Reducer’ will be made into a costume as part of the 20mph campaign. The mascot will also be invited to meet the Junior Road Safety Officers at their launch on 14 September 2016.

Teo will be presented with vouchers to buy a bike at the prize giving ceremony in June. Tollcross Primary will also receive £1000 to spend on active travel activities or equipment as part of the prize. Below we have a rundown of the other winners, and we would like to say thank you to everyone who took part.

Letters have been sent out to all the winners to let them know that they have been successful.
